Fire Pits and Grills Policy

The use of fire pits and grills is permitted at the resort’s discretion. When county forest fire risk levels are rated Medium or High, the resort reserves the right to restrict or prohibit the use of fire pits and charcoal grills without prior notice.

Fire pits and grills are seasonal amenities and are removed in early November and returned for guest use in early to mid-May, subject to weather conditions and local fire safety guidelines.

We do not provide charcoal or firewood.

No. We are unable to accommodate weddings, events, and parties at this time.

Yes. We have two private beaches on our property and there are multiple public beaches within a 5 mile radius of our place. The size of the beaches vary from year to year depending on the water level of Lake Superior. You will see photos of the beaches throughout our website when the water levels are high and low. Below is a photo of the beach below Cabin 2 taken in the summer of 2024.

The farthest cottage is 350 feet away from the beach.

No. We do not have a dock or boat launch at our resort. There are two nice marinas within 5 miles of our property. There are also several smaller boat launches nearby.

Yes. We are a dog friendly resort.

For the Cottages:

Check-in is anytime after 4pm and check-out is 10am.  At this time we are unable to accommodate late check-out and early check-in.

For the Lake House:

Check-in is anytime after 4pm and check-out is 10am. At this time we are unable to accommodate late check-out and early check-in.

No. We are unable to accommodate early check in’s at this time.

Yes. Each cottage and the Lake House have their own private outdoor sitting areas. You will have your own private grill, fire pit, and picnic table.

Yes. Each cottage and Lake House have their own charcoal grills. Don’t forget to bring your own charcoal and grilling supplies as we do not provide them.

No. We provide all linens for beds as well as bath towels and kitchen towels. Please bring your own beach towels.

Yes. The Ashland/Washburn snowmobile/ATV trail is directly across Hwy 13 from Mission Springs Road, approximately 1/8 of a mile from your cottage door. From this trail you can access the Chequamegon National Forest and the Tri-County Corridor. Lake access is also available for snowmobiles and ATVs when the lake is frozen over.

Yes. The Lake House was designed for families with small children and is as child friendly. If you are staying in a cottage and have toddlers, we would recommend either number 2 or 4. Please let us know if you need a high chair or pack and play (or any other baby/child item too big to pack and take with you) and we will be more than happy to provide them if we are able.
