New Year Review of Mission Springs Resort, Ashland Wisconsin

Had to share this very kind review from guests of ours over the New Year holiday.

We had an absolutely delightful four-night stay at Mission Springs. Our visit was in-between Christmas and New Year’s, and we arrived after-dark following a long drive through cold and snow, to find the house warm and welcoming. Not only was there a gift snack waiting, but the house had been tastefully decorated for Christmas, complete with lights along the railings outside, a decorated illuminated Christmas Tree inside, and seasonal touches throughout. There was plenty of space for a three-generation group of six, with four bedrooms, a large spacious kitchen/eating area, and plenty of living space downstairs as well as a sizeable play area upstairs. The house has been updated with the latest features throughout (hot water for tea from a kitchen tap), and has a huge number of windows with terrific views across the bay on Lake Superior, and to the woods that surround. During the day, we walked along the frozen lakeshore or hiked winter trails, and drove to visit Bayfield and Ashland. At night, we warmed up around the fireplace, and then turned in for the most restful sleep imaginable. During our visit, Katie promptly responded to every question we had, and even gave us a heads-up on the New Year’s Eve fireworks in Ashland. This place is a slice of heaven in Northern Wisconsin.
