Mission Springs has been owned and operated by the Nohl family since the early 1930’s. We have an amazing story and can’t wait to share it with you. Ask us when you arrive and we’ll fill you in on all the details including interesting local history.
A Family Business
The Nohl family has been at Mission Springs since the early 1930’s. The cottages were first used as places to stay for traveling rail workers and loggers. It has been evolving into a family vacation getaway and hunter/fisherman haven ever since. This piece of land has been loved by our family for many years and we know you will love it too!
Meet the Family

Jayson and Cheryl
Owners/Operators
Jay and Cheryl, with the help of their enthusiastic greeter, Cricket, are the faces of Mission Springs! On site to welcome you and make sure your stay is pleasant. Jay grew up on the Mission Spring property and has lived there all his life. After marrying Cheryl, they made cottage #4 their home for a few years before building their house–on the site of his childhood Christmas tree farm. They love this piece of land and are excited to share its beauty and uniqueness with all of their guests.
Jayson and Katie
Owners/Operators
Jayson and Katie are excited to be the 4th generation owners of Mission Springs Resort. Since getting married and having kids they have made it their favorite (and pretty much, only) vacation destination. Jayson helps out with maintaining the cottages and grounds when he is visiting (and taking a break from fishing and hunting) while Katie handles all of the marketing and advertising and logistics of the business. They work behind the scenes doing whatever they can from their home in Edwardsville, Illinois. Katie says her favorite thing about running the resort is the fun she has getting the kids involved. They help out with whatever they can from entering data into spreadsheets to raking leaves in the fall when we are in Ashland on one of our many working vacations. Four year old Caroline loves to pretend she is the boss and is always bringing her toy phone to mommy saying “it’s a Mission Springs call.”Values

Quality
Our cottages were built in the early 1930’s and we have gone to great lengths to keep them up and modernize along the way. You will love their old style charm and will always arrive to an exceptionally clean and well kept space. It’s easy to see why our visitors return year after year.
